Pinball Films were establised in 1999 and have operated out of Newcastle for the last 23 years. We know the regions locations intimately, and are also well connected with established cast and crew. We Act Local, But Think Global.
Ashley Horner
Ashley misspent the early 90’s playing guitar with indie art rockers PALE SAINTS & EDSEL AUCTIONEER. Film school beckoned in Newcastle and Toronto, where he made his first shorts and spent hard time cutting celluloid.

Ashley’s last feature film BRILLIANTLOVE (aka THE ORGASM DIARIES) screened at Tribeca in 2010, was released internationally by IFC in the US and SODA PICTURES in the UK. The Sundance Channel has taken rights to the Rest of the World and to date the film has grossed over double its production budget in the US alone. Described by festival programmer Roya Rastegar as “a gorgeous and dangerous marinade of passion, art, and ambition that languorously intoxicates the senses”. Its explicit content divided the critics and and audiences alike, but everyone HAD to SEE IT!
Ashley is a member of ACE, EAVE, TAPS and the European Film Academy.

Keith Bell
Keith's background is in feature film production, developing and producing films with emerging screenwriting and directing talent. Keith’s producing credits include the award winning DOG SOLDIERS, THE DESCENT, THE TOURNAMENT and HARRY BROWN with Academy Award winning actor Sir Michael Caine in the leading role. His last film TWO GRAVES was sold to Netflix in 2019.
Keith has also worked in all aspects of TV Production, with the BBC, STV, Tyne Tees TV & Channel 5, working across documentary, drama, current affairs and animation. Keith also has an extensive network of production and distribution contacts throughout the Film & TV industry both in the UK and abroad. He attends annually the big markets and festivals (Cannes, Berlin, American Film Market etc.) where we sell Pinball Services for projects intending to shoot in the North East of England
As a former production manager he has intimate knowledge of what Producers require on tight budgets and packed schedules and is best placed to secure work for Pinball as a service provider as well as facilitating the day-to-day requirements of what’s needed on films of all sizes
